In the few years since their inception, TORRIDON have built up a reputation for rocking venues throughout Scotland, including BARRAFEST, Runrig's BEAT THE DRUM & LOOPALLU Festivals and most recently huge performances at the IRONWORKS Inverness, ROCKNESS and Glagsow's O2 ACADEMY. Not only has their success seen their entertaining Folk/Rock sintilating perfomances stir up the nation in Scotland, Torridon have also had European succes with events in Ukraine, Italy and most notably PARIS, France.

The Launch of their Second Album, HIGHLAND PRIDE in the IRONWORKS, Inverness has seen the band develop their own material with undoubtedly a huge crowd pleaser and certain winner with the Scots crowd "Drinking Away" driving the album sales around the country and abroad.

Torridon look set to build quickly on the success of firstly "The Bog" and now "Highland Pride" and secure a rapidly growing fanbase up and down Scotland as well as foreign shores. 2010 looks set to be big for the band, watch this space for news of events...in the mean time...meet the band below............. Founding member Matthew "Cammy" Cameron is the heart and soul in Torridon. Since meeting Kenny in 2003 it's been a combined lifetime ambition to perform and Cammy's huge voice and stirring passion has undoubtedly driven the boys to succeed ever since. From rocking folk songs to heartfelt ballads, Cammy will command an audience in any venue and fans will watch in amazement as he rattle's the bog with unbelievable pace! He's also one of the band's mandolin maestros.

Co-Founder Kenny Smith is the drive and determination in the band. On guitar and vocals, Kenny's energetic performances merit the atmoshperes that Torridon create with their live sets. After starting the band with pal Cammy, Kenny's goal of delevoping Torridon has taken shape year on year. Since the band launched the new album, "Highland Pride" the catalyst is now in place for his stage flying perfomances to creep onto bigger stages.

New firm favourite Kenny Lyall has been a seamless addition to the band since joining in January 2009. Kenny's drumming flair has added a driving beat behind Torridon's rousing Folk songs and music. With drumming in the family, his father Ken Lyall, his skills have been honed at home and his punchy rythyms are a fantastic asset to the band.

Iain "Breifos" Mackenzie is the main prankster within the band. As well as firing up the nation with his pipes and bodhran, Iain has been known to be cheif "wind-up" merchant. From a piping career spanning a many successful years, with various pipe bands, Iain joined the band in 2006 and has been ever present since then. His ability to sustain emphatic tunes whilst bouncing about the stage with Kenny will astound anyone.

On Accordion, Mandolin, Electric and Bass guitar, Graham "Bellsie" Bell joined the band in late 2006 and is the balancing act between all the anomalies. The technician, expert musician, sound man, etc etc can all be atributed to Bellsie on the road as he keeps the rest in order. His technical ability is outstanding and adds the finishing touches to a driving folk/rock outfit with attitude.

It's not often that Amy "The Box" Henderson appears on stage with Torridon, due to her musical committments all over the country, however when the band are lucky enough to have her with them, she is the icing on the cake! On accordion, whistles and flute her ability is second to none, and takes centre stage with the audience with her weapon sets! Amy is currently at the University of Newcastle studying a Degree in Folk Music, however her career is sure to take off once she completes this. Raw talent doesnt go un-noticed...keep your eyes peeled!
